About the Online Application Form

Organisers can now register, apply and manage their online grant applications for funding, with information holding for the following year’s submission. Before you register, please ensure you have a generic email address set up for your organisation which will enable current and future committee members to manage your funding application.

To register on Licences.ie

  1. Go to www.Licences.ie
  2. In the top right corner select “Gaeilge” or “English”
  3. Click “Register” in the top right corner
  4. Fill out the necessary details.  Required fields are marked with the red asterisk
  5. Tick the box to agree to the “Terms & Conditions”
  6. Click the green “Register” button at the bottom of the screen
  7. A notification from Licences.ie will be sent to your email
  8. Click on the green “Activate” button / link within the email to activate your account. This will bring you back to Licences.ie, where the grant application process can begin.

To start a “Festival Support Grant” Application on Licences.ie

  1. Once on Licences.ie, log in using the email address and password used during registration.
  2. Choose your preferred language – both English and Irish options are available in the top right of the page.
  3. On the navigation bar, choose “Find” and look for Waterford City & County Council.
  4. Choose the “Festival Support Grant Application 2020” form.
  5. Start filling out your Festival Grants Support application form.
  6. Collaborate with your festivals committee members filling out different fields of the form.
    NOTE: Logging in at the same time another person will cause loss of input.  Coordinate this process.
  7. You can save your answers at any time and come back to it later.
  8. The form will not let you submit unless all relevant steps have been filled out.
  9. Marketing Plans (optional) can be attached via the “Attachments” panel on the left of the form screen.
  10. If you wish to attach a marketing plan using a PC:
    Using a scanner or the scanning function on a multi-function printer, scan a copy of the document to be uploaded and save it to your computer.
    Click on Select files button, browse to the saved document and click Open
  11. If you wish to attach a marketing plan using a smart phone or tablet:
    Take a scan or a clear picture of the document and attach it by clicking ‘Select Files’ button. When using a smart phone to take a picture/scan, but using a PC to fill out the form, you will have to email the image to yourself (i.e. from your phone to your PC). Save the image from your email onto your PC and then attach it as described above.

To re-open an existing application (to complete it, finally submit it etc.)

  1. Once on Licences.ie, log in using the email address and password used during registration.
  2. You will then arrive at a page labeled “My Applications”.
  3. Click OPEN next to the application you were previously working on.
  4. NB: Be careful not to duplicate your form application by creating a new application.
